Dear Editor, Some of the children in our schools face greater challenges than others, so to help these students we have educational assistants otherwise known as EAs. A history of underfunding has created shortages of EAs.

Dear Editor, Re: “MLAs pointing at council, a bit rich,” Letters, Feb. 1. Kelly is absolutely right in pointing out that MLA Linda Reid has put herself in a position that can only be viewed as hypocritical.

Dear Editor, Re: “MLAs pointing at council, a bit rich,” Letters, Feb. 1. I am writing to correct some of the facts presented by letter-writer Kelly Greene regarding mega-homes on the Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR).

Gotta say, I’m getting pretty sick of the old, “This is Canada, not China” line. I get where it’s coming from — kinda.

Dear Sir/Madam; I wonder why no compromise has been promoted with regards to mail deliver? The previous federal government embarked on a plan to do away with home delivery of mail.

Dear Editor, There has been much written regarding the sorrow and loss people feel following the death of Alfred Wong, the teenager caught in the crossfire of a recent Vancouver drug-related shooting. However, I have heard very little about remorse.

Dear Editor, Re: “BC Liberals want city to act,” News, Jan. 23 MLA Linda Reid is concerned about Richmond city council sending mixed messages about protecting farmland, yet allowing 11,000 sq. ft.

Dear Editor, Re: “Two Safeways set to close in May,” News, Jan. 25. I find it interesting that Jacquelin Corrado, of Sobeys, comments that it hasn’t been a secret that Safeway locations have struggled.

My son was 15 when he decided he wanted a job — an idea with which I enthusiastically concurred.
