Dear Editor, If the provincial coffers need some cash, all the government has to do is enforce speed limits. The people speeding on our roads have developed what appears to be some sort of entitlement issue.

Dear Editor, Our city councillors have been much too timid at a time when bold steps are necessary to address the housing crisis.

Dear Editor, It has become “fashionable” in some quarters to complain about city services and taxes etc., so let me share a recent experience.

Dear Editor, Re: “River otters found in city digs,” News, Jan. 11. I hate to burst Hugh Griffith’s bubble, but he was definitely NOT among the first to discover river otters in Garden City Park.

Of course growing tomatoes, cucumbers and the like is a legitimate use of agricultural land. After all, the Agricultural Land Reserve was created to do just that. Right? Hmm, well kinda.

Dear Editor, The City of Richmond’s public consultation process on building lanes in Steveston is deeply flawed. Rather than asking residents to vote on what kind of lane they want, the city should ask the community whether it wants lanes at all.

Dear Editor, I’m all for self-serve gas stations, so long as “Brad’s Law” protections are included.
