The Editor, Re: "Pipeline best option: VAFFC," Letters, Feb. 1. VAFFC's spin master deliberately ignores that huge oil tankers on the Fraser would supply jet fuel for the proposed VAFFC storage facility and pipeline necessary to pump it to YVR.

The Editor, In the heart of Steveston Village is a store called Pieces. In this very beautiful store with impeccable merchandising are the most unique items one can find.

The discovery of the remains of King Richard III underneath a parking lot this week, identified thanks to mitochondrial DNA from his Canadian great-great-great-etc. nephew, shows how history can twist and turn a living person.

The Editor, Once again, the NDP goes for the big splash, but doesn't get the story right. John Horgan's argument that BC Hydro is losing millions of dollars over private power purchases is disingenuous and misleading.

Welcome to this issue of the Richmond News. It's one like none other - but the first of many.

The Editor, Re: "Richmond staff recommends keeping controversial Steveston scramble," News, Jan. 25. So, after spending one million of Richmond resident tax dollars, city staff feels that their "pilot" intersection experiment should become permanent.

On Feb. 14, more than 12 saints line up for their feastday.

The Editor, Re: "Pipeline best option: VAFFC," Letters, Feb. 1. Mr. Pollard gives the public his latest corporate group think strategy of the proposed jet fuel storage and pipeline through Richmond.

With aggressive expansion coming to the amount of coal and grain Port Metro Vancouver exports, it's time to take a closer look at the price our lungs are going to pay.

The Editor, Re: "Law goes it alone," News, Jan. 30. In response to your front page story regarding the candidacy of independent Gary Law in the next provincial election, I felt an uneasy sense of déjà vu.
