Dear Editor, We have lived in the Hamilton area of Richmond for the last four years. I grew up in Richmond and have noticed over the years how bad traffic is.

Perhaps nothing should surprise me when it comes to politics, but I have to admit, I did a double-take when I read a city councillor’s quote in Wednesday’s story about house sizes on farmland.

The Richmond News has teamed up with our friends at the Gateway Theatre to offer our valued letter writers four pairs of tickets for the upcoming performances of The Watershed. We will choose four letters published next week as the winners.

We live in the best neighbourhood in Richmond. There are 19 families that live in our cul de sac.

Dear parents of B.C. kindergarten class of 2017. Welcome to the school system. What an exciting journey to be starting! Welcome to class size and composition that honours your child as a learner.

Dear Editor, It’s interesting how most recently we have had a proliferation of letters commenting on the problems created by the construction of mega homes in our neighbourhoods, particularly in lots with LUC bylaws.

Dear Editor, Could the Interurban ride again? Onni built an eyesore on the Fraser River in Steveston with city council’s blessing. Now, those buildings sit idle, gathering dust. Down the street, tucked away out of sight, is an interurban tram.

To Mayor Brodie and Richmond Council, Please do the right thing and limit house size (and “home plate” size) in our agricultural lands as soon as possible.

The Vancouver International Wine Festival is more than a series of wine tastings, lunches and dinners. It’s also a time to honour an individual who has made a significant contribution to BC wine.
