Dear Editor, As a Richmond-White Rock commuter, I’d like to comment on the proposed new bridge that will replace the Massey Tunnel. In addition to its huge cost and environmental impact, one problem with the newly proposed bridge is its location.

T he “Port Metro Bridge” is a dubious gift and Richmond council has resolved that it, “prefers a new or improved tunnel rather than a new bridge.” That would give priority to Richmond needs in the misnamed “George Massey Tunnel Replacement Project.

Dear Editor, With all due respect, we had a real sense of “deja vu” when reading that Coun. Alexa Loo voted to support the bridge replacing the Massey Tunnel , against the wishes of more than 90 per cent of voters who do not support it.
