The Editor, Re: "SPCA barking up wrong tree," Letters, Aug. 24.

Excerpt from "A Journal of the Spider Wars". Monday, Aug. 20: I came home from work to find a good-sized wolf spider scuttling across the living room floor. He must have been an inch and a half across.

I was born in China and raised in Hong Kong in a traditional Chinese family until age 20, before coming to Canada to pursue a degree at UBC.
