The Editor, Re: "City opposes farmland crossing option for Massey Tunnel," News, March 13. I read with interest about the planning for a new tunnel or bridge to replace the George Massey Tunnel.

The Editor, Re: "Coal dust concerns sail into view," News, March 26. Fraser Surrey Docks is an experienced terminal operator.

The Editor, Re: "Destination museum dream re-floated," News, March 27. Unbelievable! That this council would even consider an expense of this magnitude, 58 million bucks in pursuit of a nebulous goal.

The Editor, Re: "Chinese signs tell English speakers to clear off," News March 29. Thank you Nick Loenen, you have very nicely hit the nail on the head. Bam! Mayor and city councillors - get your heads out of the sand.

The Editor, Re: "Destination museum dream re-floated," News, March 27. Taxpayers should be outraged that projects of this magnitude are thrust upon us rather than holding a referendum to see if there really is an appetite for such a facility.

The Editor, Canadian Federation of Women (CFUW) Richmond applauds BC Association of Chiefs of Police (BCACP) for a February resolution adopting "Truth in Language" as part of the fight against child sexual abuse.

So just what will the B.C. Liberal party look like the day after the election and will it continue to be a viable, potent political force in this province? That is the question key members of the party are asking each other right now.

Using financial incentives to force people to "do the right thing" isn't a bad idea in theory. One sure way to motivate action is through the wallet. If you have to pay for your bad behaviour, your behaviour will usually change sooner than later.

The Editor, Re: "Chinese-Canadians call for more English," News, March 20. Until our city council decides to address the debate over Chinese language-only signs, I have a possible solution.
