Dear Editor, Reading your paper today, I was taken aback when I came across an ad in the Arts & Collectibles section. “Polar Bear Rug $27,500 2015 harvested male bear, thick snow-white fur, all claws, massive head. 10-ft nose to tail, paw to paw.

Dear Editor, Last weekend I was reminded of just how delicate our estuaries and marsh ecosystems are here in Steveston and how important it is for the community to feel connected to them and take care of them.

It wasn’t a particularly pleasant experience talking to Ron Mahy last week about the death of his daughter Christy. He was terse, angry and easily annoyed. But that’s okay. After all, Mahy is still grieving.

It’s enough to make your eyes bleed. Trying to wade through the verbiage regarding house massing (even that’s a new one) in Richmond is not for the faint of heart.

Dear Editor, An old friend of mine has been involved in the “sharing economy” for over 50 years by way of trading his professional services for products and/or the work of other professionals.

Dear Editor, When facts risk getting in the way of good writing and reasonable arguments, I suppose advertising is the best way to skirt around the truth and insert propaganda and junk science to unsuspecting citizens.
