The Editor, Re: "Please make language pain stop," Painful Truth column, Oct. 7. I gnash my teeth with every faux pas. My absolute worst peeve is when people use "that" instead of the correct "who.

We don't question the need to direct more of our tax dollars towards transit in the Lower Mainland. We don't even disagree with the need to raise taxes to do it.

The Editor: Re: "Densification destroys neighbourhoods: Day," News, Sept. 28. Laneway houses destroy neighbourhoods and make no sense, or cents.

The Editor, Re: "Residential routes best for bikes: studies," Letters, Sept. 23. On behalf of the Richmond Community Cycling Committee, to which (letter writer) Mr. Smith refers, I would like to provide additional information.

Sometimes I hate the internet. Oh sure, it's great for finding people who disagree with your every opinion. In the past, getting into arguments required going out and talking to real people.

Families will have their day. But not right away.

Friday's decision by the Supreme Court of Canada to keep Vancouver's safe injection site open is a triumph for common sense. Study after study has concluded that Insite saves lives.

The Editor, At the opening of the new Steveston Fire Hall, I was delighted to see a water station had been set up outside so that attendees could drink from the water fountain or refill their own bottles.

The Editor, Re: "Densification destroys neighbourhoods," News, Sept. 28. I'd like to respond to some of the comments made by Carol Day in your recent article on granny flats and coach houses in Edgemere and Burkeville.

The Editor, It's that season again when the tall lush green on the Garden City Lands gets cut back and people ask about it. This year they ask why it was halted when less than half done. I checked with our city parks leaders.
