At the opening of the new Steveston Fire Hall, I was delighted to see a water station had been set up outside so that attendees could drink from the water fountain or refill their own bottles.
At last, the city decided to let us access our own water and NOT waste money and resources on plastic bottles.
My praise evaporated when I went inside to see a bottle of water on every seat.
Isn't city hall trying to promote the use of tap water and get rid of this wasteful bottled water?
I think it's high time our elected officials at city hall did some serious thinking about all this and their blatant hypocrisy if they want to be re-elected.
