Iam not a great driver. I think I am getting better, though. I am trying, and working on a few things. For example, when I make right-hand turns, I am forcing myself to do a quick shoulder check.

Blink, and you would have missed it. On Monday, the B.C. Liberals made legislative changes without any public announcement or debate.

Every now and then an issue suddenly pops up in our political arena that leaves you scratching your head, wondering about the government's apparent lack of compassion and common sense.

For the past 10 years, the drug Tamiflu has been the last line of defence against flu complications. During the menagerie of flu outbreaks (swine, bird) and SARS, the Canadian government spent $77 million on Tamiflu.

Richmond - The Editor, Re: "Thousands of 'illegal' Chinese drivers on Richmond's roads," News, April 9. I totally agree with the police. In China, one can buy a driving licence on the street, as long as one has money.

The human capacity to deny the obvious is truly infinite.
