Dear Editor, I would like to comment on parking for the disabled and vehicles that display a tag indicating that the vehicle was parking there because a disabled person was an occupant of that vehicle.

Dear Editor, As Surrey struggles to find a way to reinvent the police, folks in Richmond had better be prepared to put a little more in the police budget themselves. The RCMP are now union police and will expect union pay and benefits.

Dear Editor, Having many years of driving experience, I thought I had seen every careless, stupid or arrogant move drivers could make.

There are over 50 wineries near Penticton, but until July of last year, there hasn’t been a winery right in Penticton since Casabello closed shop in the 1980s.

And so ends another great summer vacation. This one involved hiking in Glacier National Park, B.C. as well as the Rocky Mountains, a family reunion at Sylvan Lake, Alta. and, well heck, why not throw in a rodeo at the Calgary Stampede.

My husband Harvey and I just celebrated our tenth anniversary. And they said it wouldn’t last. We’ve been together nearly 14 years, but married for only ten. I was a mature bride of 53 when we tied the knot, and Harvey was 60.
