The Editor: Re: "Coal dust not a concern," Letters, April 5.

The Editor, More of the Gordon Campbell government's corporate welfare was revealed with Richmond's Lafarge Cement, one of the world's largest cement companies (and a very profitable one at that), qualifying for money from the infamous B.

It's doubtful anyone was surprised when names of more than 400 Canadians apparently turned up in leaked papers with offshore financial data.

The Editor, Re: "Destination museum dream re-floated," News, March 27. Apparently our city council are suffering from a severe attack of "destination frenzy.

The Editor, I would like to commend Richmond residents Kerry Starchuk and Ann Merdinyan for bringing up the issue of Chinese-only signage in some of the shopping malls and stores catering primarily to the customers who speak the language.

Richmond offers an enviable quality of life for our residents. We've been ranked as one of the most livable cities in the world. Even as we've grown to a city of 200,000, we've been able to preserve and protect much of the natural beauty around us.

The Editor, Re: "City opposes farmland crossing option for Massey Tunnel," News, March 13. I read with interest about the planning for a new tunnel or bridge to replace the George Massey Tunnel.

The Editor, Re: "Coal dust concerns sail into view," News, March 26. Fraser Surrey Docks is an experienced terminal operator.

The Editor, Re: "Destination museum dream re-floated," News, March 27. Unbelievable! That this council would even consider an expense of this magnitude, 58 million bucks in pursuit of a nebulous goal.
