A Richmond golf course is hosting an entire week of fundraising for the Richmond Hospital Foundation.

Mylora Golf Course, on Sidaway Road, will have a number of fun golf activities and prizes lined up from Monday, June 20 through to the highlight on Sunday, June 26.

Through the week there will be a $5 entry, daily $2,500 hole-in-one contest, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a portion of the green fees also going to the foundation.

And on the weekend of the 25th and 26th, there will be a Nissan Rogue on offer for a hole-in-one, courtesy of Applewood Nissan, as well as a  beat the pro and putting contest and raffle tickets for prizes.

“We’ve done this twice before, but it was just a one-day thing with some prizes and donations and we raised a couple of thousand dollars,” said Mylora’s tournament coordinator Don Grant.

“This time we decided to do a whole week. About 75 per cent of the people that play here are seniors, so they’re very supportive of anything hospital-related.

“When people come in to pay for their green fee, they can enter a putting contest, a hole-in-one contest, beat the pro, it should be a lot of fun.”
