Two former Richmond softball players were inducted into the Softball BC Hall of Fame last week.

White began her softball career with the Richmond Islanders and later played with the Richmond Pride under the late Mike Woods.
After playing minor softball, White joined the Cyclones at Iowa State University and was a four-year starter, earning All-Big 12 Second Team honours in 1996 and 1998.

Odamura was a member of the Richmond Islanders and helped her team win titles and placed in the top three at both Western Canadian and Canadian championships.
She started her collegiate softball career in 1996 as a four-year starter at the University of Hawai'i at Hilo.
During her time there, Odamura became a four-time All-American and received four all-conference awards.
Her talent was recognized nationally when she joined Team Canada in 1998. She made her international debut at the World Championship where she and her teammates were able to secure in the 2000 Olympics.
Odamura also competed at the 2001 and 2003 Pan American Championships and the 2006 World Championships.
Both White and Odamura now coach softball in the U.S.
Kelly McGiffin, a men's fastpitch coach, and Kelly Hunter, an official and District Umpire-in-Chief for Softball BC in District 11, were also inducted into the Softball BC Hall of Fame.
