Those ringing in the new year next week with a roaring party can take advantage of free transit across Metro Vancouver to get home safely.
Every year, TransLink offers free transit on New Year’s Eve. Passengers can take a bus, SeaBus or SkyTrain on Dec. 31, 2018 from 5 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2019 at no cost.
The SeaBus will run on a modified weekday service, allowing the service to run approximately one hour later to accommodate the New Year’s Eve crowds.
The SkyTrain will also run roughly an hour later to accommodate crowds.
Those travelling from downtown Vancouver can catch a NightBus from 2 a.m. onwards from the new, well-lit, cental NightBus District at W Georgia St at Granville St. Visit the NightBus Schedules page for more information.
