A man accused of multiple break-ins and mail thefts in Richmond has been arrested and charged.

Richmond RCMP had been on the trail of Kristopher Mino since last October and they finally caught up with him last week in Surrey.

Mino was arrested on three outstanding warrants, including assault causing bodily harm, break and enter and mail theft.

He has now been charged with an additional 13 counts of break and enter.

Last fall, Richmond Mounties identified Mino as a suspect involved in multiple break and enters, including the theft of mail from the same complex on Lansdowne Road.

Officers from Richmond RCMP’s Property Crime Unit identified the suspect within a couple of weeks of the crime spree, however, despite numerous efforts to locate him, his whereabouts remained unknown until last week.

“We are committed to identifying and arresting anyone involved in property related offences in Richmond”, said Sgt. Simon Lee, NCO in-charge of Richmond RCMP Targeted Enforcement Units.

“This is an excellent example of our ability to identify, link and arrest those targeting our community.”
