One of Richmond's two missing women has been found

Sierra Dawn Watson has been found, safe and well, but Angel Dawn Marie Guigue is still missing

A Richmond woman who has been missing for almost three weeks has been found safe and well.

Sierra Dawn Watson, 32, had been reported missing after being seen last on Thursday, May 20 leaving her ex-boyfriend’s home on Desmond Road, near No. 1 and Williams roads.

However, Richmond RCMP released a brief statement on Tuesday morning, saying that she has been located and thanked everyone who helped with the investigation.

A second Richmond woman - 39 year-old Angel Dawn Marie Guigue – is still missing, after she was last seen by her boyfriend at their Hamilton home prior to him leaving at 5 a.m. on Monday, May 24.

According to police, upon his return at 5 p.m. that night, Guigue was gone, along with her vehicle, which has since been recovered by Vancouver Police.

Her boyfriend has not seen her since and, police say, he is concerned she may have relapsed back into her “previous high-risk lifestyle.”

She is described as:

•        A Caucasian female;

•        39 years old;

•        5 ft 6 inches tall;

•        160 lbs ;

•        medium build;

•        With shoulder length brown hair; and

•        brown eyes

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact their local police, quoting Richmond RCMP file 2021-14087, or call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Richmond RCMP told the Richmond News last week that there was no information, thus far, to link the two disappearances.

The missing women reports came amidst the discovery of a woman’s body last week on the banks of the north arm of the Fraser River.

However, police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death. The body was that of a Vancouver woman, who had been reported missing in April.
