Second woman goes missing in Richmond

Richmond RCMP says there is "no connection at this time" between the two missing women

Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down yet another missing woman from Richmond.

Richmond RCMP sent out a news release Thursday morning appealing for information on 39 year-old Angel Dawn Marie Guigue, who was last seen by her boyfriend at their Hamilton home prior to him leaving at 5 a.m. on Monday, May 24.

According to police, upon his return at 5 p.m. that night, Guigue was gone, along with her vehicle, which has since been recovered by Vancouver Police.

Her boyfriend has not seen her since and, police say, he is concerned she may have relapsed back into her “previous high-risk lifestyle.”

She is described as:

•        A Caucasian female;

•        39 years old;

•        5 ft 6 inches tall;

•        160 lbs ;

•        medium build;

•        With shoulder length brown hair; and

•        brown eyes

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact their local police, quoting Richmond RCMP file 2021-14087, or call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Guigue is the second Richmond woman in a week to be reported missing.

However, Richmond RCMP told the Richmond News on Thursday that there is no information, thus far, to link the two disappearances.

Police are still looking for 32-year-old Sierra Dawn Watson, who was last seen on Thursday, May 20 leaving her ex-boyfriend’s home on Desmond Road, near No. 1 and Williams roads.

She is Caucasian, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 120 pounds, slim build with long brown hair and green eyes with glasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call their local police quoting file number 2021-13883.

A woman’s body was found on the weekend on the banks of the north arm of the Fraser River.

However, police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death. The body was that of a Vancouver woman, who had been reported missing in April.
