Christmas 5K Olympic Parkrun: 8:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Kick off the Christmas weekend in style at the free, festive run in Richmond Saturday, Dec. 23 . Christmas accessories are encouraged but not obligatory. Exercise-induced festive endorphins guaranteed!
The run is a free, timed five-kilometre walk, jog or run which takes place every Saturday on the middle arm dyke trail, close to Aberdeen Canada Line station. Whether you’re old or young, male or female, an Olympian or you’ve never walked five kilometres before, you’ll be made to feel very welcome. Each week, they have a tail-walker, so no-one is ever left behind.

Steveston Santa Claus Parade: 6 - 8:30 p.m.:
Steveston Village will come alive on Christmas Eve with the magic of Santa Claus and his annual parade. Come join Santa, Mrs. Claus and many friends around the streets of Steveston on Christmas Eve. This is a free and family friendly event.
Non-perishable food donations are appreciated and will be donated to the Richmond Food Bank. The parade begins at 6 p.m. at 3211 Regent Street and runs up and down Pleasant, Georgia, Garry, Richmond and Broadway streets, largely between Second and Sixth avenues.
The parade ends at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Chatham Street (next to the Little Cantina and Mega Sushi). Note that there may be last minute tweaks to the route, due to construction.
