Three things to do in Richmond this weekend

From an auto show to a music gathering, there's something for everyone in Richmond this weekend.

1. Auto show

The Rev Up Autoshow is happening this weekend at the Richmond Olympic Oval.

There will be all makes and models of aftermarket tuner cars, local shops, dealers and car clubs.

There is a 20 per cent off spectator tickets on Midnight Rev Up's website here.

Children under six and seniors over 65 years old enter for free.

Date: Saturday, July 5, from 1 to 7 p.m.
Location: Richmond Olympic Oval, 6111 River Rd.
Price: $8 for kids 7-12 years old, $16 for early bird general admission, $20 for general admission.

2. Music and dance

Open Jam and Dance in the Park invites the public to bring their instruments and their groove to Minoru for an evening of music.

There will be snacks as well.

Date: Saturday, July 5, from 5  to 7 p.m.
Location: Grass field behind Richmond Cultural Centre Annex, 7660 Minoru Gate.

3. Tactile workshops

Vancouver Placemaking is hosting a workshop to explore mark-making.

This free workshop will explore making marks and illustrations using plastic and metal to create tactile drawings through impressions.

The workshop is recommended for children seven and older. Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by a registered adult.
