Richmond artists, as well as arts and cultural organizations, are being invited to register for this fall's Culture Days, whereby they can showcase their talents and expand their arts activities.
The annual national arts event takes place this year from Sept. 19 to Oct. 12. Richmond has been recognized as one of Culture Days' top 10 participating communities, offering both in-person and online activities.
Each year, free or pay-what-you-may experiences, such as hands-on workshops, creative activities and behind-the-scenes tours, allow the public to tune into their creative sides.
Open studio events, information sessions and demonstrations also help increase awareness, pride and participation in the arts.
This annual event allows artists and creatives to not only showcase their work but also to connect with Richmond residents and visitors.
Meanwhile, groups and organizations can use Culture Days as a platform to boost community engagement and member recruitment.
Registered Culture Days event organizations will have access to a variety of resources, including event planning resources, inspiration for activities, volunteer management and a school engagement toolkit.
There will also be free promotional support through a campaign from the City of Richmond, BC Culture Days and the national Culture Days organization.
The deadline for registration is Thursday, July 31, on the Culture Days website.
