Richmond to host the Spring 2019 Job Fair

The Spring 2019 Job Fair, organized by Avia Employment Services, will take place in Richmond on Wednesday, March 6.

The free event aims to connect job hunters to employers and community partners and has "a drop in capacity."

"Attendees should bring resumes and a winning smile," according to the organization.

The job fair will be held at Richmond Public Library at 100-7700 Minoru Gate from 1 to 5 p.m. Attendees are advised to wear interview-ready attire.

Avia Employment Services is funded by BC Government's WorkBC Initiative, which offers free job support services for job seekers aged 16 and up.

Its services cover Richmond, Coquitlam, Langley, Port Coquitlam and Newton.

Apart from connecting job seekers with employers through job fairs, the organization also offer services including career coaching, job search workshops and access to job support such as free bus tickets, free work footwear and clothing.

In some cases, Avia can pay for short-term training certifications such as First Aid and Food Safe.
