Some Richmondites might need to drive further to fill up on gas after a gas station in the Bridgeport area recently closed its doors.
The Husky gas station, at 9060 Bridgeport Road, near Garden City Road, closed after the lease for the site ended, according to a statement from Cenovus Energy, the Calgary-based natural gas company that owns Husky gas stations across the country.
But the future of the site remains uncertain.
“For any additional information about the site and potential plans, please contact the landowner,” said Cenovus Energy.
City spokesperson Clay Adams said there are no active development applications on the site at this time.
The BC Assessment pegged the property, with 32,181 square feet land size, at $9,646,000 –a $451,500 increase compared with last year.
