Chak Au has been working for the Richmond community since he immigrated to Canada in 1988.
He currently serves the City of Richmond as a councillor. Prior to his election, he served Richmond as a school trustee for 12 years. As an elected representative, Au has established a track record of saying what he means and meaning what he says. A proud accomplishment is opening dialog to ensure English language is included on signage in Richmond.
For more than 20 years, he has been working as a family and child counsellor in Richmond for the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority and understands the problems families have.
