YVR, Richmond teacher nominated for Women of Distinction Awards

Women who work at two Richmond organizations have been nominated for Metro Vancouver YWCA Women of Distinction Awards.

Up for an honour is Marie Thom with the Richmond School District for her work with Early Learning and StrongStart. The Vancouver Airport Authority as a workplace was also nominated for its commitment to diversity and inclusion.

According to a news release, the awards honour honour those who contribute to the well-being and future of the community. The 36th annual awards ceremony will be held on May 13 at the Parq Vancouver.
