With the winter season approaching, the city is looking for volunteers to join their ninth annual Snow Angel program to help residents of Richmond clean snow and ice from sidewalks and walkways.

The volunteer-driven program aims to help elderly citizens and residents with health and mobility challenges.

This year, all Snow Angel volunteers will receive a shovel and a toque for their participation.

Service is provided when there is a snowfall of three or more centimetres and is dependent on the number of volunteers available.

To become a volunteer, visit ICanHelp.Richmond.ca or call Richmond’s Community Services Division at 604-244-1208.

For residents who will require a Snow Angel, contact the Snow Angel coordinator at 604-247-4453 before Sunday, Dec. 1.
