Shoppers Drug Mart has released a free mental health program for community members struggling with stress during COVID-19.

The company opened a virtual stress management program – accessible from any electronic device – in partnership with SilverCloud Health.

According to the company, the program focuses on helping people recognize and change negative thinking patterns and behaviours while building new strengths and skills using interactive and engaging activities.

And it is also personalized to each individual to help manage their stress.

Jeff Leger, president of Shoppers Drug Mart, said that their “purpose is helping Canadians live life well” especially during these days battle with the coronavirus pandemic.

“With health and financial concerns, isolation and anxiety rising, this program is designed to treat stress with modern approaches,” he said.

“Hopefully, it brings people peace of mind, and possibly giving them and the health care system some relief at a time when both are burdened.”

The stress program is free until June 15 and is available at shoppersdrugmart.ca
