Later this month, the Richmond Potter’s Club is having a pottery sale and celebrating its 50th year.

Over three days, on April 26, 27 and 28, a variety of gifts made by local potters will be for sale.

The club, which has around 60 members, has been involved in the community for many years.

“We’re a club that’s been doing volunteer work in our community for a long time,” said Brenda Greczmiel, who has been a member for three years. “It’s a very multicultural club, lots of different aged people, people from different walks of life and it’s really fun.”

The club has two sales each year, one in the spring and one just before Christmas. New at this sale, members of the club have made garden gnomes which will be sold for the first time.

“They’re just adorable, little whimsical things. They’re small, they go in your pots of flowers and they’re no two alike,” Greczmiel said.

The spring pottery sale will be held at the Richmond Arts Centre at 180-7700 Minoru Gate.

It’s scheduled to run from 1 to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 27th and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the 28th.
