Like many events in 2020, the annual Health Fair held by Success, a Richmond-based social-services organization, is going virtual this year.

The free health fair is a signature event for Success and it typically draws thousands of Chinese-speaking immigrants each year to raise awareness about health resources available to them and educate them with wellness tips.

This year, however, with COVID-19 restrictions on large indoor gatherings in place, doctors and specialists will instead present their health tips during a series of webinars scheduled for Oct. 25 and Nov. 1 between 2 p.m. to 4: 30 p.m.

“Many immigrants count on those seminars to navigate through the local health-care system,” said Queenie Choo, CEO of Success.

Two doctors have been invited to share tips on supporting mental wellness as well during the pandemic, Choo added.
