COVID-19 has meant tough times for local artists, as music festivals and performances were cancelled. However, dozens of Richmond artists still managed to keep the Halloween spirit alive through the release of a music video.

This is Halloween is a virtual choir music video in which Jack Skellington celebrates Halloween with a group of moving portraits by singing A Nightmare Before Christmas, according to Lily Yuan, the producer and founder of Children’s Theatre of Richmond Association (CTORA).

The video is available on CTORA’s official YouTube channel.

“We dedicate this music project to all children and art workers whose lives have been impacted by the pandemic. May happiness and creativity find their way to you,” said Yuan.

Yuan has been working closely with local young artists and producers in Richmond throughout the summer, while following strict safety protocols.
