A Richmond-based scene company is using the unexpected downturn in the economy to help a children’s charity.

Scene Ideas Inc. – based out of Shell Road – is creating lawn signs to lift spirits and raise funds for the CKNW Kids’ Fund’s newly created Connecting Kids’ Fund.

Like most businesses in the events industry, Scene Ideas has been drastically impacted by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Without any large-scale events on the horizon, Scene Ideas is fighting to stay in business and has had to quickly pivot to keep their doors open.

Capitalizing on their strengths as a custom manufacturer and builder, Scene Ideas is now building PPE and protective plexiglass barriers in their local shop to assist companies in safely reopening.

Among their new product line are a series of creative lawn signs with positive messaging like “Be Kind, Be Calm, Be Safe” and “Canada Calls You to Do Your Part in the Fight Against Covid-19”.

The signs are $20 each with $10 of each sale to be donated to the Connecting Kids' Fund.

Signs can be ordered direct via email to sales@sceneideas.ca. Contactless delivery is free within Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, Surrey, Delta and Coquitlam or can be shipped via Canada Post.
