Richmond News welcomes popular Canucks blog to line-up

Pass it to Bullis features expanded coverage as Vancouver pushes towards first playoff berth in five years

A young and exciting Vancouver Canucks team is pushing towards its first trip to the Stanley Cup playoffs in five years and Richmond News is jumping on board the bandwagon with a popular addition to our online content.

We are thrilled to welcome Pass it to Bullis — a blog loaded with Canucks coverage. It was launched 10-years ago by Daniel Wagner.

It grew in popularity and the Vancouver Sun picked it up, providing a part-time job to the prolific writer. In 2015 he left the Sun and our Glacier Media sister publication the Vancouver Courier became the home of PITB, running daily stories on their website as well as weekly features in their printed newspaper. And at the end of January, PTIB moved to Vancouver Is Awesome, another Glacier Media sister publication.

PITB has expanded even further since 2015, featuring articles from regular freelance contributors Wagner will be editing, while also continuing his own signature coverage.

The thing that sets PITB apart from the others is that they've always provided Canucks coverage that's a little bit off-kilter, taking the silliest aspects of hockey way too seriously and poking holes in the facade of the most serious aspects.

You can expect both serious analysis of the Canucks on-ice play and plenty of humour that sometimes still makes a serious point.

To celebrate the PITB launch, the News is offering a pair of tickets to the Canucks March 8 game against Columbus. Visit our Facebook page for contest details.
