The Editor, The tenth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the U.S. has again brought the issue of terrorism to the forefront. So far Canada has been very fortunate to have been spared such an ordeal.

The Editor, After reading the article on the procession of motorcyclists and emergency vehicles making their way down Highway 99 to the Peace Arch to commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11, I felt this would be a opportunity to commemorate 9/11.

In the days after the Twin Towers fell 10 years ago, there was an eerie hush. No planes interrupted the stillness and shock of that suddenly quiet sky. In the 10 years since, it's been a different story.

The Editor, This is an open invitation for an eco-tour of the Garden City Lands on Saturday, it is free.

The Editor, This is a shout-out to the AWESOME samaritans who stopped to help a man on Monday Sept. 8, between Francis and Williams roads on No. 1 Road.

So the guy who gave us the HST - sneaking it by us with lies, deceit, and general subversion of the democratic process, no less - is to be honoured as one of the greatest among us. Gordon Campbell is being awarded the Order of British Columbia.

Ah, the wailing and the gnashing of teeth. I can hear it from here, as a poll is released showing that Canadians are the fourthleast-cool people on the planet.

The Editor, Well now, the overpaid, incompetent Mandarins that inhabit city hall, have managed to finagle another couple of million out of us. They'll probably want a raise.
