Dear Editor, Re: “Mayor Brodie applauds cancellation of George Massey Tunnel replacement bridge,” News , Sept. 6 Well, there goes any quick resolution to our tunnel problems. We’re now going to study alternatives that have been studied to death.

Wednesday’s paper hadn’t even landed on doorsteps before my inbox was flooded. More than a few people had strong opinions about a couple of stories we had already posted online.

Isabel Allende’s The Japanese Lover is a love story steeped in history, using San Francisco as a backdrop for its measured progression. The book opens with Irina, a care aide at Lark House, a seniors’ home in San Francisco.

Dear Editor, This photograph is of a “hobby farm” in Richmond. That is, it’s zoned AG1 and is half an acre on Blundell Road. Behind the lot, you can see a real farm – blueberries and a small farm market.

Dear Editor, If the City of Richmond put as much effort into finishing road projects as they do opposing a new crossing to replace the Massey Tunnel, some of the traffic problems might just go away.

Dear Editor, Re: “Tram study not worth the money,” Letters, Sept. 15. While I heartily agree that social services and infrastructure are of great importance, there is one major flaw in the reasoning behind this letter.

It’s the New Year ­— according to the Jewish calendar. Rosh Hashanah (Sept. 20) marks a turning of the calendar to 5778. While it’s still 2017 in my world, I have to concur, it makes sense to start a new year in September.
