Richmond was largely spared from the worst of last week’s flooding.

I have been a life-long resident of Richmond and, like many people in the community, I’m busy working and raising my family. I have good days and bad days.

I want to thank the City of Richmond for its dyke repair and planning. Your efforts paid off as Richmond could have had severe flooding like the poor folks in the Interior and Fraser Valley.

I will not be complaining about my utility bill next time I get it.
