TransLink is permanently extending the 418 bus route further into east Richmond from New Westminster, following almost a year of delay due to municipal road work.
Beginning July 2, the route will now continue further along Blundell Road, past York Road.
The change will also move the final stop - currently at No. 8 Road - to Blundell Road and Zylmans Way.
The stop adjustment was originally announced in September 2018.
The route extension will benefit employees and customers at businesses such as IKEA’s distribution centre, FedEx, Mazin Furniture Industries, ADESA Richmond and others.
