A cold arctic air is expected to coast through Metro Vancouver and Richmond with the expected snowfall this week.
According to a weather statement, northwest winds are expected to develop over the Strait of Georgia causing a heavy snowfall to likely develop Monday evening into Tuesday.
Another outflow of arctic winds will cause a greater blanket of snow to fall from Tuesday evening to Thursday in the Lower Mainland.
Residents may “suffer a glancing blow” of wind on Thursday evening as the temperature begins to warm up.
This morning, Environment Canada forecasted a week of snow, between now and Friday evening.
