Monday is likely to be the coldest, with the wind chill pushing the mercury down to near minus 13, coupled with a 60 per cent chance of snow flurries.

Much of the same is expected on Tuesday, before the temperature eases a little Wednesday through to Friday, with highs of plus one and lows of minus three. Any snow later in the week is more likely to be of the wet variety.

Plus five and rain is expected to greet us when we get up on Saturday morning.
