The Lower Mainland’s newest professional soccer team, Vancouver FC, is hosting a free community match in Richmond this weekend.
The Canadian Premier League expansion team of last season is hosting the game at Minoru Park on Saturday evening, with a 7:30 p.m. kick off against amateur side FC Tigers Vancouver - the Fraser Valley Soccer League champion and recent national champion.
As well as the pre-season game, Vancouver FC will also be launching its new kit and hosting a “fun-filled event with swag and a DJ on site,” according to the club.
The game is being co-hosted by Richmond-based youth BC Premier League club Fusion FC.
