Children aged 9 to 12 are being invited to try curling in a fun and relaxed session.
An Optimists’ Getting Started in Curling Camp is being hosted by the Richmond Curling Club from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept 17.
Children will learn from experienced junior curlers and certified curling coaches the basics of this sport on ice.
This is a great opportunity for families to get out and active after school starts up again,” said Doug Bradley, Richmond Curling Club Manager. “We know the kids will really enjoy learning to curl and meeting other kids in the area.”
The cost is $15 and includes lunch.

After the session, the camp participants will also learn more about regular curling opportunities in the community.
