The Holy Cross Crusaders stormed back from a 14 point fourth quarter deficit to stun the Hugh Boyd Trojans 24-21 in B.C. high school football "AA" conference opening week action.

The Trojans looked to be on their way to a big road victory thanks to kickoff return for a touchdown by Matt Adams and other majors from Travis Coutts and Daniel Chernov. However, the Crusaders came storming back, led by the late game running heroics of Konrad Piaseczny. He ripped off fourth quarter touchdown runs of 50 and 61 yards to put the Surrey Catholic school on even terms.

The comeback was complete when an interception in overtime led to the game-winning field goal. Piaseczny finished the afternoon with 208 yards rushing on just 12 carries.
