The Richmond Ravens will be looking to cap off a dominant week and season on home ice tonight when they play for B.C. Hockey’s Bantam Girls Provincial Championship.
The Ravens will square off against the Tri-Cities Predators, 7:30 p.m at the Richmond Ice Centre’s forum rink. Richmond opened the tournament with a 9-1 win over its Pacific Coast Amateur rival and produced five more dominant victories to lock up its spot in the gold medal game. The Ravens had outscored their opponents by a whopping 43-3 margin through five games.
The Predators secured a berth the final with a 5-2 win over Abbotsford on Wednesday night. Other teams participating this week include South Island, Kelowna, Prince George and North West.
The Ravens entered the provincials as Pacific Coast Amateur regular season and playoff champions. They also captured their own Pacific Coast Female Rep Classic back in October and a tournament in Kelowna. In December, they finished second at the prestigious at the 2 Nations Cup College Showcase Tournament in Toronto.
