Richmond Minor Hockey Association teams thrived on home ice, winning six of the seven championship games they qualified for at Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association’s President’s “C” League playoff finals, held at the Richmond Ice Centre.
Teams from Richmond Minor, Seafair, Burnaby Minor, New West, Vancouver Thunderbirds and Vancouver Minor battled in round-robin playoff games to determine spots in the various division finals.
Seven Richmond Minor teams reached the finals and championship banners were won in the Atom C1, Atom C2, Pee Wee C1, Pee Wee C3, Bantam C1 and Midget C1. Richmond’s Midget C2 squad earned the runner-up award.
It was the biggest haul for for any of the associations that were competing. Making the numbers even more impressive was Richmond Minor the fifth largest minor association participating, based on 2014/2015 registration numbers.
Richmond Minor also led the way in PCAHA President’s League regular season champions as well.
