Richmond Atom A1 Blues captured their flight at the Phoenix President’s Day Invitational Hockey Tournament.
The Blues entered the Squirt Elite AAA Division where they played a pair of Alaska teams and twice met the same opponent from Seattle. The locals then defeated the home state Arizona Bobcats in the championship game.
Coached by Glenn Wheeler and Linden Saip, the team includes: Anand Badh, Eshant Bhela, Jora Dhaliwal, William Huo, Jade Lore, Lauren MacKay, Gabriel Moi, William Queree, Veer Sadana, Shane Skworoda, Bryce Strandt and Tyler Thorpe. The Blues also got a big helping hand on the Arizona trip from affiliate player Hiroki Prior.
