Richmond 2006B Islanders girls fastpitch team made its tournament debut in Fleetwood with a solid fourth place finish.
It had been a slow start for the team’s first year together as two earlier tournaments were cancelled due to rain. Even though it was pouring rain during this weekend, it didn’t stop the girls’ enthusiasm and perseverance.
The team includes: Stephanie Sofikitis, Kiyomi Tien, Makaela Parker, Ulani Cyr, Takara Orange, Aika Wang, Kristin Law, Madelyn Wong, Vanessa Chan, Bella DeShaye, Rebecca Wosk, Laurel and Forgeron. The coaches are: Adam Cyr, Johnny Wong, Anne Tien, Dereck Griffin and Brooklyn Eusanio.
