Two Richmondites are among the fresh batch of 20 suspected Stanley Cup rioters charged by police this week.
The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) have recommended to the Crown 52 charges among the 20 accused.
Names of the new set of suspects will not be released until the Crown approves the charges.
Inspector Les Yeo, of the Integrated Riot Investigation Team, said his squad will not let up in its quest to bring as many Stanley Cup rioters to justice as possible.
I can assure the public that as we hold a further 20 accountable today, my team is hard at work preparing a third round of charges on even more rioters, Yeo said.
As we have said in the past, a critical part of our investigation is identifying those responsible. In the New Year, we will be launching additional strategies to increase the volume of visitors to our website.
My message to rioters who think they have gotten away with their crime spree, Were not backing off; more arrests and more charges are just around the corner.
The new total of charges recommended to Crown in the June 15 Stanley Cup riot is 215, against 80 people.
