Police have arrested a suspect in relation to a late-night shooting outside a Richmond business on July 23.

The shooting took place around 11 p.m. east of Sea Island Bridge in the 8500 block of Sea Island Way. It was reported to Richmond RCMP the next day.

A witness saw three men inside a ride-share vehicle, one of which "took out a firearm and discharged it two to three times out of the window," said Richmond RCMP spokesperson Adriana O'Malley.

No one was injured in the shooting.

One suspect was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 14, at around 9:20 a.m. in Surrey on 59A Avenue near 150 Street.

Due to the high-risk nature of the offences under investigation, our investigative team worked collaboratively with the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team. The suspect was ultimately arrested without incident.
