An intersection in Richmond will have its traffic lights shut off for several hours on Friday due to cable work.
The lights will be turned off at the intersection of No. 2 Road and Westminster Highway on Aug. 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This is needed as existing live fibre optic cables need to be safely relocated in the area, according to the City of Richmond.
One through lane and one left-turn lane will be maintained in all directions.
A traffic control personnel will be on site to monitor the movement of vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists at the intersection as well.
Motorists are asked to expect delays during work hours and for travellers to plan an alternate route.
