A Richmond non-profit is looking for student volunteers to be part of an initiative to empower more young women to pursue professional careers.

The Richmond Women's Resource Centre (RWRC) - a mostly volunteer-run group that offers peer support, training, and education to local women - has established a new program to help more female-identifying youth to reach their full academic potential, regardless of their social-economic, cultural and family backgrounds.

Therefore, grade 10-12 female high school students are encouraged to join RWRC as volunteers to help make a change to the local community.

According to RWRC's website, volunteers are required to contribute to the program by designing and distributing surveys, gathering feedback from fellow classmates and giving their own input. Volunteers will receive a free one-year RWRC membership along with a volunteer certificate in return.
